7 Months Old
I cant believe we are already another month older! My first thought is, this is going way too fast! It really is. I am enjoying every minute with this little guy, we have so much fun together.
Here are a few things I forgot in my 6 month post;
diaper size- 3
clothing- still wearing 3-6 but most are getting to small very quickly
* Wells is trying so hard to crawl. He is rocking back and forth and all fours. He gets so frustrated but he is almost there
*He is doing this funny fake gagging and all sorts of other funny sounds
*He is using a sippy cup and he loves it.
*Chris is still the one person that can always make him laugh. Wells just loves his daddy and he cracks up at everything Chris does. I love watching them play together, Chris is really good with him.
*He is so interested in everything that is going on around him all the time. He does not like to miss anything. It is so funny to me cause he whips his head back and forth so fast trying his hardest not to miss a thing. He is in to everything!
*We went to the Henry eye clinic to get his eyes checked out. He is had numerous eye infections since he was born and his eyes are always watering and they have started to get really gunky. I have to clean them out with a warm washcloth every single morning cause they are so crusty. It makes me so sad. The doctor told us he has two clogged tear ducts. He tried to get unclog his ducts during our appointments but he couldn't so we will go back one more time and try and if that doesn't work, we will have to have a little surgery done to unclog his ducts.
* We have started fruits in the morning along with our oatmeal. So far, we have tried pears and apples. Wells is so funny cause it takes him a while to get into anything new that I give him. He has now started to love squash which he hated the first time I gave it to him. He also loves sweet potatoes and peas. Carrots, not so much. I am getting ready to try some new foods this next month
* I have been making all his baby food. It is so easy and I have actually tried everything and it is really good as well. I feel good knowing that I know exactly what goes into his food.
*As of Valentines Day we are off our Previcid and he seems to be doing well without it
*No teeth yet but I can see them coming in so I know it will be any day
*He loves books and he loves to turn the pages by himself
*He is so ticklish and I love to play tickle games with him
*He is so observant with every move that the dogs make, he is constantly looking for them and wants to know what they are doing. Every time biscuit walks by, he laughs.
Sleeping;
*He still goes to be so easily at night and he just plays in his crib until he falls asleep. He does that in the morning as well. When I first hear him, I usually go into his room and turn on the bathroom light and give him a couple of toys and just let him play for a while before I get him out. He is sleeping really well at night and still a early riser :( Bedtime is around 7 and he gets up at about 6 in the morning (sometimes earlier and sometimes later). Unfortunately I think that might be in his DNA, I was always a very early riser as a child. I am not quite ready to claim and all out victory with his napping in the swing but I really think we are there. He has not napped in his swing in almost two weeks. One more week and I think we are going to put the swing in the attic. It just happened one day. I had all these plans on how I was going to get him into his crib for naps and it is almost like one day he just didn't want to nap in his swing anymore. He is so funny cause it is almost like he just decided his swing wasn't comfortable anymore, which really has to be true cause he was clearly getting too big to be comfortable. He totally did it himself when he was ready. This is exactly how I wanted it to happen and it did. I was totally surprised. I am beginning to think he might be a little stubborn (wonder where he gets that:) cause he has done this kind of thing several other times. When he is ready, he will do what you want him to but you can't push him or he will resist. I might be reading to much into this but I wouldn't be surprised if he is stubborn like his momma. So far giving him the time to do things at his pace has seemed to work with this child and that is just fine with me.
* He can sit up for as long as you want him to
*Most 3-6 month clothing is too small but most 6-12 is still a little too big.
*He loves bath time, usually a father son event
*He loves his little round a bout toy that he can walk around to play all the toys on it. In fact, he has started to run around it and it is so funny. The more you encourage him by clapping, the faster he will go
*He smiles all the time and he is such a sweet natured little boy.
This little boy makes me so happy!!! We love you sooooo much, Wells Monroe!
